About the Event
Based on Gabor Holch's recent book 'Dragon Suit: The golden age of expatriate executives in China' (New York: Business Expert Press, 2023), the speech demonstrates differences in leadership styles—specifically, aligning global and local diversity, inclusion standards and company values as multinational firms transfer previously expatriate executive jobs to local management. The book is based on 20+ executive interviews in China, and the speech will highlight both published cases of Western and Asian executives and their teams, and newly collected cases by the author. In addition to Western and Chinese managers, a new addition since the book will be the voice of Asian but non-Chinese executives stepping into positions at multinationals in China previously held by Westerners, and their cooperation with local Chinese managers and teams.
