Rebuilding broken global networks from a chair

Free webinar with Gabor Holch

The single most frequent question I recently hear from executive coaching clients is about rebuilding global partnerships and networks disrupted by pandemic, slowing economies and an increasingly distrustful global environment.

A strong international network is a secret ingredient to leadership careers, and it gets more important with higher-level jobs. Managers with global connections jump queues for inside stories, vacancies, funding and chances to promote their business. They make faster and more confident decisions, and build trust and rapport by sharing the opportunities they access.

Similarly to global supply chains, such networks were torn apart by trade wars, slowing economies, pandemic and recent barriers and mistrust raised by geopolitical tensions. Trusted partners, team members and support networks haven’t met in person for years. Fire-fighting priorities and slim budgets mean that most managers must further postpone trust-building trips for a while.

Based on 25 years as a diplomat and East-West Leadership consultant, and research for his recent book on expatriate executives in China, in this free webinar Gabor Holch presents three simple principles to boost anyone’s efforts to rebuild a broken network of worldwide clients, prospects, suppliers, investors, mentors and more, and discuss direct applications to the business situation of participants.

  • Rebuilding global networking skills and confidence starts with reaching out to just one person.
  • Whether your temperament is outgoing or reserved, goal-focused or casual, you can build a global network your way.
  • Global networking requires no more than 1-2 extra hours a week, and social media is optional.

To find out more, join the free East-West leadership webinar Rebuilding broken global networks from a chair, listen to success stories of mid-managers, startup entrepreneurs, between-jobs professionals and executives Gabor Holch interviewed for the book Dragon Suit—and discuss how you can start global networking the next day.
